MediaBin Product Experience
Klish Group, Inc. has worked with Interwoven's MediaBin product since 2004. Interwoven purchased the MediaBin product in 2003 and has steadily improved its features and capabilities. As companies begin to align their marketing strategies around a consistent brand message, the integration of MediaBin and a web content management platform will help enable this capability.
Services provided to clients:
- TeamSite Integration - with the release of Interwoven's Enterprise Content Management Connector, and the new Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) of both TeamSite and MediaBin, connecting the two systems has become fairly simple. This out of the box connectivity has been customized for our customers in the following ways:
- Reusable TeamSite Presentation Template Components - centralized the common code required to retrieve assets from a MediaBin repository and parameterized which MediaBin retrieval task to run
- Added support for Proxied Connections - due to customer infrastructure restrictions, external communication may be controlled through a proxy server
- Repository Design Layout - worked with customers to create the proper layout of globally accessible shared assets and partitioned specific areas for assets targeting a specific product or area.
- Software Installation and Configuration - installed and configured the MediaBin asset server, Web Services interface, Adobe Graphics Server, Syndication Manager and Deployment Agent.
- Metadata Taxonomy Development - extended the default metadata tags to include additional information about the assets that would allow faster and more accurate retrieval when searching the repository.
